The original campus was constructed at 715 Riley Street, which is now the site of Sutter Middle School. Before Folsom High’s establishment, students from the area attended San Juan High School in Citrus Heights. A significant fire on June 22, 1959, destroyed most of the original buildings on the Riley Street campus. In August 1998, a new campus on Iron Point Road opened for junior and senior students, while freshmen and sophomores remained at the old campus until the second phase of construction was completed in 2000.
